Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Move-in times are usually assigned individually - confirm your student's specific slot before booking travel. Fall 2026 classes begin Monday, August 24, 2026, with no standalone fall break during the semester. All new students are required to attend New Coug Orientation, registered on a first-come basis, so register early to secure preferred dates.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Move-In Weekend is Saturday and Sunday, August 15-16, 2026. Students sign up for a designated move-in time slot through the housing portal after receiving their hall assignment.
- Check-in location
- Check in first at Beasley Coliseum at your assigned time - don't go straight to your residence hall. Check-in takes about 20 minutes on average.
- Parking
- Free parking is available in the green lot next to Beasley Coliseum during check-in. After unloading at your hall's designated zone, relocate your vehicle to longer-term parking - maps and directions are provided at check-in.
- What you'll receive
- Bring your CougarCard and the Move-In QR code emailed to you in advance to complete check-in.
- Vehicle restrictions
- Plan to unload quickly at your hall's designated zone before moving your vehicle to longer-term parking.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
