Washburn requires first-year, first-time students to live on campus, which is shown nationally to improve academic success and graduation rates. Visit the Lincoln Hall or Living Learning Center front desk during business hours for a tour if you'd like to see your building ahead of move-in.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- LLC and Lincoln Hall check-in is staggered by last name: A-I 8-10 a.m., J-R 10 a.m.-noon, S-Z noon-2 p.m. The Village and West Hall have separate, earlier windows (8-10 a.m. and 10-11 a.m.) for students requesting Move Crew assistance.
- Check-in location
- A designated check-in tent to confirm your room assignment and pick up your move-in packet from your floor's Resident Assistants.
- Parking
- Don't leave your car unattended - once unloaded, park your car (or have a guest park it) in the nearby parking lot.
- What you'll receive
- Your move-in packet, distributed by Resident Assistant staff on your floor; bring your I-Card (Washburn ID) for check-in, or submit a photo online via the GET app ahead of time if you don't have one yet.
- Vehicle restrictions
- Vehicles use designated unloading zones, with Move Crew volunteers assisting before you park.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
