Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Make sure you've submitted your ID form and photo before you arrive - you'll need it for meals and activities all week. Meals are provided for all students attending orientation. Alumni parents and grandparents are invited to a special legacy-family photography session during move-in. StartTU orientation runs Aug. 19-21, 2026, led by peer mentors through tours, tips, and social gatherings to help you settle in before classes begin.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon - the first day of StartTU orientation.
- Check-in location
- The first floor of the Student Union, where orientation check-in runs 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and residents pick up their keys before moving in.
- What you'll receive
- Your residence keys and student ID at check-in. Submit your ID form and photo before you arrive, since the ID is needed for meals and activities all week.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
