Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Students will be assigned a specific date and time to check in based on their room assignment, sent to their OU email account in July. Students and families will be directed to the Lloyd Noble Center to check in; university and student services staff will unload vehicles and move items into each room. All residents are allowed two vehicles and one trip through the move-in process - no U-Hauls, trailers, or moving trucks/vans are permitted. Norman, Oklahoma routinely reaches 95-100°F with high humidity in August, so plan accordingly for the heat. A clear bag policy and metal detectors are in effect for all guests at the Lloyd Noble Center's west entrance. You can also rent a MicroFridge, sign up for laundry service, or ship your items ahead of arrival through a university partnership with University and Student Services.

- McCasland Hall and Couch Center residents move in Aug. 17-18 - check your OU email for your specific assigned date and time.
- Check-in location
- Enter the Lloyd Noble Center at the west entrance to check in - once inside, you'll be directed to the appropriate stations to complete the necessary steps.
- What you'll receive
- After checking in at the Lloyd Noble Center, volunteers will guide you north to the residential area of campus, where your belongings are unloaded and moved into your room as part of OU's full-service move-in.
- Vehicle restrictions
- You are not permitted to remove any university-owned furniture from your unit - residential facility chairs may only be removed after submitting and getting approval for a work order through OU Housing Operations.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
