Fall 2026 Move-In Details

Move-in is by appointment only, scheduled through MyHousing - arrive on or after your scheduled time, since arriving early means you won't have access to your space yet. Upperclass students move in separately on Aug. 14-15.

Move-in day logistics

Arrival window
First-year and Living-Learning/Theme Community students move in Wednesday, Aug. 12, by scheduled appointment. Upperclass students move in Aug. 14-15.
Check-in location
All students check in at the Osprey Clubhouse. Upperclass residents can also check in at their own hall's welcome desk.
Parking
After unloading your belongings, move your vehicle to a parking garage or lot right away so the next family can use the space. Bringing your own dolly or wagon is worth it - moving carts are limited and first-come, first-served.
What you'll receive
Your Osprey1Card, which doubles as your room key and building access - it's activated at check-in, so bring the physical card (a virtual/digital version won't work for door access).
Vehicle restrictions
Every vehicle needs a valid UNF parking permit, assigned based on your specific residence hall.

Move-in day tips

  • Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
  • Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
  • Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
  • Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
