Fall 2026 Move-In Details
All belongings and boxes must be labeled with your name, residence hall, and room number so volunteers can bring your items to the correct room. Time slots begin at 8 a.m. every 30 minutes, with the last slot available at 2 p.m. and volunteers on hand in your Stop Drop & Go zone until 3 p.m. Arrive during your selected time slot or later - arriving early only adds to traffic congestion.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Welcome Weekend Move-In runs Saturday, August 22, 2026, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Sign up for a 30-minute arrival time slot through Housing Self Service starting August 3.
- Check-in location
- Check in at your assigned residence hall's Stop Drop & Go zone, staffed by volunteers through 3 p.m., who help bring your labeled belongings to your room.
- Parking
- Designated move-in parking lots vary by residence hall (for example, Princeton Lot serves Brannon/Selke/Noren, and CFPAC Lot serves Johnstone/Smith and University Place) - parking is free without permits during move-in, but vehicles must move to permitted lots by Monday, August 24 at 7 a.m., when normal enforcement resumes.

- Your room key and move-in instructions; after move-in, complete your Room Inventory and Condition form in your Roompact account by August 28.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
