Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Log into your Housing Portal and review your Arrival Passport for your specific unloading zone and directions. Temporarily park in the unloading zone, unload within 10 minutes, then move your vehicle to the designated long-term lot (free during move-in). Proof of required immunizations must be submitted before arrival or move-in may be delayed. Meter and permit spaces go unenforced campus-wide during the move-in window (Aug. 27-29).
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time - your exact move-in date is shown above in the Overview.
Move-in day logistics
- Check-in location
- Check in at your specific residence hall's own service desk to receive your room key(s).
- Parking
- Temporarily park in your assigned unloading zone and unload curbside within 10 minutes - the driver then relocates the vehicle to a designated long-term lot, free during move-in.
- What you'll receive
- Your room key(s) at your hall's service desk - Terp Welcome Crew volunteers are on hand to help retrieve available moving carts.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
