Check in at the Stan Sheriff Center, where the UHM Welcome Fair, H-Zone gear store, and concessions are all available while you wait for your appointment time - you might even catch the Rainbow Wahine Volleyball team practicing. Bring a photo ID and your pre-check-in confirmation to the housing table to receive your keys. If you're assigned to a residence hall, participation in the meal program is required; apartment residents have more flexibility. New UH Mānoa Chancellor Vassilis Syrmos and student housing staff personally greet families during move-in week.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Assigned check-in appointments (mid-July notification via the Student Housing Portal) fall on August 17, 18, or 21, with each student given a 1-hour slot between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. About 72 hours before arrival, log into the portal to complete additional forms and save a confirmation screenshot for check-in.
- Check-in location
- Proceed to the Stan Sheriff Center's Gate A entrance for the Welcome Fair and housing check-in table.
- Parking
- Drivers park for free on move-in day in the Zone 20 parking structure (maximum vehicle height 6'10") and must relocate their vehicle after unloading. Taxi and rideshare drop-off uses a designated area at the same structure entrance, with monitored bag check and a complimentary shuttle to your residence hall after check-in.
- What you'll receive
- Bring a photo ID and your pre-check-in confirmation to the housing table to receive your room keys.
- Vehicle restrictions
- Each resident is only allowed to bring their vehicle onto campus once during their assigned arrival window - additional unloading trips require parking after 6 p.m.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
