Select your move-in time slot through your housing application in the myHousing portal. You may begin shipping items to campus as early as September 11, 2026 - locate your campus mailing address in myHousing before shipping, and limit individual parcels to 50 lbs. Choose your residence hall's specific page for building-specific move-in instructions, since logistics vary by hall.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- New students select a move-in time slot for Sept. 22 through the myHousing portal. Returning students move in Sept. 25.
- Check-in location
- Check in at your own residence hall and follow the posted signage there - the exact check-in point varies by building.
- Parking
- Vehicles are limited to 45 minutes in unloading zones at most residence halls and must be moved to a designated parking lot right after unloading. One newer residence hall has its own separate garage-access and parking-validation process, so check your hall's specific move-in instructions ahead of time.
- What you'll receive
- Your room key, with the option to request a bed-height adjustment during move-in.
- Vehicle restrictions
- Vehicles can't be left unattended in unloading zones, and most halls cap unloading time at 45 minutes before you need to relocate to permanent parking.
