Upload your photo to the student portal ahead of arrival so your ID can be printed and ready for you on move-in day - completing this step in advance helps avoid delays. Make sure your consent and immunization documentation has been submitted to the Health Center beforehand as well. Pre-Orientation Programs begin separately on August 26, 2026, ahead of the general move-in date, for students specifically enrolled in those programs.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Thursday, Sept. 3, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There are no exceptions for earlier arrival; only pre-approved pre-orientation participants and athletes arrive early, with check-in details from their program coordinator.
- Check-in location
- New Student Move-in is held at the Scully Center, alongside a Resource Fair.
- Parking
- First-year students can't keep a car on campus.
- What you'll receive
- Your student ID, printed ahead of time if you uploaded your photo to the student portal. None of the first-year buildings have air conditioning.
- Vehicle restrictions
- First-year students are not permitted to have a car on campus except in extenuating circumstances, and unregistered vehicles are ticketed and towed.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
