Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Move-in selection timeslots are emailed to students on August 6, 2026 - check-in window selection begins August 7. Your selected check-in time is a one-hour window; after picking up your key, you have 15 minutes in the unloading zone before moving your vehicle to a designated garage or lot. Beds cannot be fully lofted - to adjust the height of your bed, a Maintenance Request needs to be submitted online, and requests typically happen within 72 hours. Students should purchase a parking permit before parking on campus; on most weekdays the Towsontown, Glen, and Union garages fill by 10 a.m.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Sign up for a specific 1-hour check-in window between Aug. 19-22 - for example, selecting 10 a.m. gives you until 11 a.m. to check in at centralized check-in.
- Check-in location
- Report to SECU Arena for centralized check-in.
- Parking
- Parking during move-in is located in Lot 8.
- Vehicle restrictions
- After your 15-minute unloading period, vehicles should be moved from the unloading zone and parked in the designated parking garages or lots in the area - follow posted signage and directions from parking staff.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
