Students self-select a move-in appointment in the Housing Portal starting mid-July through August 14, 2026 - your eligibility date to select a timeslot depends on your assigned residence hall, not a first-come, first-served rush. Ship items to arrive on campus no earlier than August 14, 2026, and in smaller batches over several weeks rather than all at once, since package storage space is limited. Pre-Welcome Programs run August 16, ahead of required Welcome Week itself. Construction remains underway near campus and student move-in routes, including areas adjacent to several residence halls - check the My Move In Hub for current conditions closer to your arrival date.

Move-in day logistics
- Check-in location
- Day Hall residents: pull in the circle to begin unloading. Sadler Hall residents: pull into the circle, go inside to check in first, then begin unloading. Flint Hall residents: pull in the circle to begin unloading.
- What you'll receive
- Walk into your residence hall to check in, get your room key, and request a moving bin.
- Vehicle restrictions
- Once your vehicle is unloaded, a driver must immediately move it to an appropriate parking area - do not leave vehicles unattended in unloading zones.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
