Fall 2026 Move-In Details
The move-in process becomes available in the Housing Portal in late July, with a formal email sent to all residential students announcing the start of the process. Begin working on requirements ahead of time by paying your bill, registering as a full-time student, and updating your emergency contact information. Students should be prepared to present their Storm Card, received at Orientation, along with a printed Move-In Day Parking Pass upon arrival.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- First-year student move-in is Saturday, August 29, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Complete your Move-In Ready Checklist through the Housing Portal in early August, then schedule your preferred appointment date and time.
- Check-in location
- Enter campus through the main gate. First-year and continuing students report directly to their residential building. Those who arrive ahead of their scheduled appointment are directed to a holding area until their slot opens.
- Parking
- Bring your printed Move-In Day Parking Pass along with your Storm Card - both are required to check in.
- What you'll receive
- Meal plans activate the evening of move-in day, from 5 to 10 p.m.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
