Fall 2026 Move-In Details
You'll receive an email in mid-July to select your move-in timeslot - arrive during your scheduled slot, not before it, since staff capacity is limited per slot. Clearly label all items with your name, residence hall, and room number before arriving. Welcome Weekend (Aug 28-30) and New Student Convocation (Aug 30) follow right after move-in.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time - your exact move-in date is shown above in the Overview.
Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Arrive at your scheduled timeslot, sent to you by email in mid-July - arriving early isn't permitted since staff capacity is limited per slot.
- Check-in location
- Enter through the Farinella Gate (the campus's main entrance on South Orange Ave.) - Public Safety will direct you to the front of your residence hall to check in and receive your room key.
- Parking
- You'll receive a printable, temporary Dashboard Parking Tag by email before move-in day. No car may remain in the unloading zone for more than 15 minutes - move it to the parking deck once unloaded.
- What you'll receive
- You'll check into your housing assignment and receive your room key from residence hall staff.
- Vehicle restrictions
- Only one vehicle is permitted to arrive with you at your residence hall - extra vehicles are directed straight to the campus parking deck and unloaded from there.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
