Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Students with a permanent address considered an extreme distance (defined as greater than 250 miles away) can request to move in one day early, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. Parents and family members are encouraged to attend the annual Welcome Mass for new students and families; Fall Orientation officially begins afterward and does not include programming for parents. You do not need to register in advance for Fall Orientation.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Your specific move-in window (7am-2pm on Aug. 26) is staggered by room and floor number - even rooms on even floors 7-9am, even rooms on odd floors 8:30-10:30am, odd rooms on even floors 10:15am-12:15pm, and odd rooms on odd floors plus all transfer students 12-2pm. Students living more than 250 miles away can request an early move-in day (Aug. 25); everyone can also opt for an early belongings-only drop-off on Sunday, Aug. 23, 8am-1pm.

- Enter campus through the gate assigned to your residence hall: the Eaton Street Gate (Aquinas, Bedford, Davis, Koffler, McDermott, McVinney, Meagher, Raymond, St. Joseph, and Sullivan Halls), the Huxley Gate (Cunningham, DiTraglia, Guzman, and Mal Brown Halls), or the Shanley Parking Lot (McCarthy and Shanley Halls).

- Download and print your move-in day parking pass in advance; entrance and parking are organized by gate according to your assigned residence hall (see checkInLocation).
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
