Students required to live on campus are generally those between the ages of 17 and 23; those outside this range must apply for an exception through the Office of Student Life, and housing is not guaranteed in that case. Beginning on move-in day, reach out to others, communicate honestly with your roommate, and get involved on campus - there are many clubs and organizations to choose from. Move-in is August 24 as part of Launch orientation week; confirm details with NNU's Office of Student Life.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- New-student move-in is Monday, August 24, in two groups. Group A checks in 8:30-10:30 a.m. (specific rooms in Culver, Dooley, and Sutherland Halls, plus last names A-L in other halls), and Group B 10 a.m.-1 p.m. (the other rooms, plus last names M-Z). Commuter students check in from noon to 1 p.m. If you need a different group, contact Student Development.

- What you'll receive
- Launch orientation week runs August 24-28 and includes department meet-and-greets, welcome dinners, and a Boise River float. Classes begin August 31.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
