Within 48 hours of your Bear Necessities NSO registration being processed, you'll receive instructions at your Morgan email address for completing the Housing Application - assignments are first-come, first-served. - Move-in happens within the official Move-In Week, August 17-25, 2026 - follow @MSUORLH on Instagram for your specific hall's check-in day and time, and confirm you've received your housing notification before arriving.
- Check-in location
- Most halls check in through a two-checkpoint system at Lot U - show your move-in notification email to receive a color-coded move-in clearance sheet before heading to your building.
- Parking
- Vehicles are directed to designated move-in parking (Stadium Way garage or the Morgan Business Center), with shuttle service provided back to your residence hall.
- What you'll receive
- A color-coded move-in clearance sheet at your checkpoint, confirming you're cleared to proceed to your assigned hall.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
