Arrive in one vehicle if possible to reduce traffic congestion - only one car can unload in designated unloading zones within your assigned 30-minute arrival window, with additional cars directed to long-term parking. U-Hauls, trailers, and campers are prohibited due to traffic configurations. Fall 2026 classes begin Monday, August 31, giving several days between move-in and the first day of class.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- You must arrive during your scheduled move-in day and time - only one car can unload within your assigned 30-minute window.
- Check-in location
- Your residence hall or apartment's own service center - it's your one-stop shop for check-in, mail and packages, and picking up a temporary key or access card.
- What you'll receive
- You and up to two helpers can pick up a complimentary meal voucher at check-in, redeemable at the dining hall or retail option listed on the voucher.
- Vehicle restrictions
- U-Hauls, trailers, and campers are prohibited in unloading zones and parking due to traffic configurations.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
