Fall 2026 Move-In Details
You'll be notified of your specific arrival day and time in your housing assignment email, sent on a rolling basis beginning mid-July. Packages should not arrive at the Shriver Center mail room before August 10, 2026, or they'll be returned - use your full name, room number, and residence hall name on anything shipped ahead. Oxford Campus classes begin Monday, August 24, 2026.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- First-year students move in Aug. 20-21, upper-class students Aug. 22-23, each assigned an individual arrival time by email starting mid-July.
- Check-in location
- Check in at your assigned residence hall. All students attend an all-hall meeting there at 6:15 p.m. on move-in day, with dinner beforehand.
- Parking
- Pull up close to your residence hall to unload only, then move your vehicle to one of the designated move-in parking garages or lots nearby.
- What you'll receive
- Your room key and residence hall check-in materials, distributed at your hall.
- Vehicle restrictions
- Don't park directly next to residence halls or in accessible spaces without a proper permit - unloading zones are for briefly pulling up, not parking.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
