Complete your Housing Application through the Housing Portal once you've received your Lincoln email, submitted your enrollment fee, and obtained financial clearance from the Bursar's Office - Residence Life begins placing students in Fall 2026 housing assignments starting in May 2026. Freshmen are not permitted to bring vehicles to campus.

Move-in day logistics
- Check-in location
- The Office of Residence Life is in the Student Union Building, room 225. Your hall (Frederick Douglass, McRary, or Ashmun) and room come from your assignment in the Housing Portal.
- What you'll receive
- Room keys and access details are issued through Residence Life at check-in.
- Vehicle restrictions
- Freshmen are not permitted to bring vehicles to campus.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
