Residence Halls open at 9:00 a.m. for first-time students, followed immediately by a seven-day Welcome Week/Orientation program. Readmitted and returning students move in several days later, on a separate schedule.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Residence halls open at 9:00 a.m.; correspondence with your assigned move-in time slot is sent out by Housing mid-summer.
- Check-in location
- The One Stop Shop at the Lee E. Williams Athletic and Assembly Center, where arriving students and families can handle Admissions, Housing, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Auxiliary Services, and Academic Advising together before heading to their residence hall.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
