Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Most students check in at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on their preselected day and time (8 a.m.-4 p.m.), entering from the State Road 45/46 Bypass at Gate 11, Purple Lot. Bring your CrimsonCard (school ID) set up on your mobile device - temporary cards are issued if you can't access it. Early arrival is not available to students on their own; only pre-approved sponsored groups (athletes, Groups Scholars, 21st Century Scholars) may arrive early, arranged directly through their program sponsor. Residents with cars must move them to Memorial Stadium parking from Aug. 16-19 to free up move-in spaces. We suggest bringing 2-3 friends or family members to help.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Unload as quickly as possible (ideally 15-20 minutes), then move your vehicle to a designated parking lot so the next family can unload.
- Check-in location
- Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall - only students may check in (parents, guardians, or others may not check in on the student's behalf).
- Parking
- Forest Quadrangle residents can unload on the Forest circle drive or in the lots to the east and west; Wright Quadrangle residents (A-D) unload via Campbell Drive off 10th Street, or (E-G) via the Wright west drive off Eagleson. After unloading, free parking for family/supporters is available at several lots and garages, including Memorial Stadium's White and Purple lots (day and overnight).

- Your unload-and-go parking pass at check-in - place it on your vehicle's dashboard before heading to your residence hall.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
