Hawaii Pacific University's downtown Honolulu campus is built inside the revitalized Aloha Tower Marketplace, anchored by the 1926 Aloha Tower, a 184-foot lighthouse and Hawaii's tallest building for four decades that once greeted arriving ships during the era of "Boat Days," with new students moving into the 370-bed Harbor Lofts residence hall on the tower's second and third floors each fall.

Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Move-in day is Thursday, August 27, followed by a full orientation day on Friday, August 28 and a half day on Saturday, August 29. Pick up your housing packets and keys at the Housing Office inside Aloha Tower Marketplace (ATM), then move into your residence hall, unpack, and meet your roommates. All residents of Harbor Lofts are required to purchase a meal plan, with meals served at Pier Nine by Sam Choy, the on-campus dining facility. Housing is not confirmed until you submit your signed housing agreement, and you'll receive your housing and roommate assignment before arrival.

- Move-in runs 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, followed by a 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. block for university business services.
- Check-in location
- Harbor Lofts and Executive Centre residents check in at the Housing Office inside Aloha Tower Marketplace, where you pick up your housing packet and keys.
- What you'll receive
- Your housing packet and room keys at the Housing Office. Harbor Lofts units include a refrigerator and the 3rd floor has a common kitchenette for simple snack prep; bring your own Twin XL bedding, towels and toiletries. Candles, hot plates, space heaters, air conditioners and personal furniture are not allowed.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
