Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Move-in appointment required via the MyHousing portal. Centralized check-in at the Student Recreation Center for keys and access cards before proceeding to your residence hall. Check-in occurs between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily during the move-in window - you must check in no later than 9 a.m. on the first day of classes to avoid being considered a no-show. Your move-in confirmation email arrives the evening before your scheduled appointment.

Move-in day logistics
- Check-in location
- The Student Recreation Center - not your residence hall - is your first stop to check in and retrieve your keys.
- Parking
- Complimentary one-hour parking is provided at K and N parking decks - only one car per resident can park in the decks; additional cars in your party should find alternative parking nearby while the resident checks in.
- What you'll receive
- Your room key, access card, and a parking hang tag (if you registered and paid for parking at University Commons, University Lofts, or Piedmont North).
- Vehicle restrictions
- Oversized vehicles cannot park in the K or N decks and will need alternative parking accommodations.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
