Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's original Daytona Beach campus, the university's oldest residential campus and academic headquarters since 1965, sits directly adjacent to Daytona Beach International Airport with its own aircraft ramp for flight training, with all first-year Eagles required to live on campus in suite-style halls including Residence Hall 1 and 2 each August.

If you upload a photo in advance, your Eagle Card will be ready for you when you arrive on campus, helping streamline check-in. Orientation programs are in-person, with some sessions also livestreamed via Zoom so families can watch virtually. Required students who have not submitted their housing application by the priority deadline will not participate in online room selection and will be manually assigned instead.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Move-in and check-in run August 16-17, 2026 - select your specific time slot through the housing portal ahead of time.
- Parking
- Unlike at many schools, first-year students are allowed to bring a car - all students must register their vehicle and display a parking permit at all times, obtained through ERNIE via the Safety Office.
- What you'll receive
- Every room comes with a bed, desk, chair, and dresser for each occupant. Utilities (aside from phone lines), network data, and laundry are all included in your housing cost.
- Vehicle restrictions
- Park only one vehicle on campus given limited space - a valid, displayed parking permit is required at all times.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
