Mailbox numbers are handed out by the Service Bureau, and you can pick up your key during move-in day. Complete a Resident Room Condition Report through the housing portal after moving in, documenting existing conditions to avoid potential charges at the year's end. Returning students move in separately and later, closer to the start of classes. Check your Doane email and eRezLife account for your exact date and time slot.

- First-year move-in is Sunday, August 9, as part of Welcome Week. Your exact date and time slot come through your Doane email and eRezLife account. Fall athletes arrive earlier, on August 2.
- Check-in location
- Residential students check in at Haddix.
- Parking
- Enter campus from Iris Street only; Boswell Street is one-way, exit only. Sign up for a complimentary parking permit.
- What you'll receive
- Room and mailbox keys at the Residential Life and Education table during check-in. Rooms include a microfridge/freezer and microwave, and laundry and WiFi are free for residents.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
