Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Starting at noon on Monday, August 3, schedule your move-in appointment based on your orientation session - appointments are limited and first come, first served. The university is officially closed for Labor Day on Monday, September 7, and move-in appointments aren't available that day or the preceding Sunday, September 6. Lincoln Park residents check in at their building's station per the Check-In Stations Map; University Center (Loop) residents check in at Holden Court.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Move-in appointments are assigned by orientation session: Premiere DePaul 14-15 students move in Wednesday, August 26; Premiere DePaul 1-13 and 16 students choose Sunday, August 30 or Saturday, September 5; transfer and continuing students move in Saturday, September 5; Law students move in Sunday, August 16.
- Check-in location
- Lincoln Park residents proceed to their residential building's check-in station per the Lincoln Park Check-In Stations Map; University Center (Loop) residents begin check-in at Holden Court.
- Parking
- A complimentary QR code provides one parking session (9am-9pm) at the Clifton Parking Deck or Sheffield Parking Garage; the Metropolis Parking App is recommended for smoother access.
- What you'll receive
- Welcome information, keys to your unit, and wristbands for your moving helpers, distributed at your check-in station.
- Vehicle restrictions
- No specific vehicle-type restrictions published; parking is limited to the single complimentary session at the designated decks/garages above.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
