Delaware State University's 356-acre campus in Dover centers on Loockerman Hall, a Georgian mansion predating the university by over 150 years and now a historic landmark, with first-year students housed in traditional halls including Jenkins, Harriet Tubman-Lydia Laws, and Warren-Franklin.

Move-In
Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Your specific move-in date and hall assignment will be communicated via your DSU email and the move-in scheduler. DSU uses a new appointment-based residential check-in process - students receiving a FastPass will get a scheduler link to select their check-in time slot. All financial obligations and a completed health form must be on file before moving in.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time - your exact move-in date is shown above in the Overview.
Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Move-in runs by hall and appointment slot within the Aug. 19-22 window - for example, Wednesday, Aug. 19, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. covers Jenkins, Warren Franklin East/West, Gooding, Williams, and Malmberg. Your specific FastPass appointment time is communicated via DSU email and the move-in scheduler.
- Check-in location
- Your assigned residence hall, per your FastPass appointment.
- Parking
- The Police Department recommends arranging any special parking accommodation in advance.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
