Fall 2026 Move-In Details
All CSU students are required to have a RamCard, and hall residents will need one to use their meal plan. Vehicles may park in designated temporary Move In lots throughout the week; volunteers will be on site to assist you with unloading during reservation hours. No parking is allowed on Laurel St., Whitcomb St., Lake St., and/or Centre Ave. except where designated by Move In signage. Register your bike, e-bike, e-scooter, or e-skateboard through Rams Roll ($10) if you plan to use one instead of a car. Each student who uses a meal swipe during Move In gets two free meals for a parent or legal guardian at The Foundry, Durrell Center, or Ram's Horn.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Upon arrival, plan to park in a Move In lot near your residence hall to pick up your room keys and check in, after which you may move your vehicle to an unloading zone to unload.
- Parking
- Vehicles may park in designated temporary Move In lots throughout the week; annual residence hall parking permit access and enforcement starts Aug. 24.
- Vehicle restrictions
- Some bike lanes are converted to temporary unloading zones during Move In days only - after Move In, parking or loading/unloading in bike lanes isn't permitted and violations will be enforced.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
