Move-In

Fall 2026 Move-In Details

Move in by appointment, followed that evening by community-building activities hosted by Residence Life Student Leaders. New Student Orientation begins the next morning and runs through the first day of classes, Wednesday, August 26.

Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time - your exact move-in date is shown above in the Overview.

Move-in day logistics

Arrival window
Move-in is by appointment on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026 - your Move In Appointment QR code is available on the 2026 Move In form ahead of arrival.
Check-in location
Follow the prescribed Move-In Route for your residence hall assignment and proceed to your building's designated unload zone.
Parking
You have 5 minutes after arrival to unload your vehicle and move it to avoid backup - do not park on the sidewalk, in fire lanes, or on the grass. Only one car is permitted in the unloading zone at a time.
What you'll receive
You'll pick up your room key at your move-in appointment.
Vehicle restrictions
No rental trucks or trailers are permitted due to traffic flow.

Move-in day tips

  • Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
  • Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
  • Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
  • Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
