Carroll College's Helena campus centers on St. Charles Hall, its original 1909 building whose cornerstone was laid by sitting US President William Howard Taft, connected to All Saints Chapel - once an early gymnasium, rededicated as a chapel exactly a century later in 2017 - with most first-year students housed in Guadalupe Hall.

Fall 2026 Move-In Details
On August 23-25, students can choose among many fun events to attend all day long, from a menu provided upon arrival. Use free time to run errands and shop locally in Helena for room supplies, toiletries, and groceries. When you arrive, you and your roommate will complete a roommate agreement together to discuss shared items like fridges, microwaves, futons, and TVs.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Move-in is Sunday, August 23, from 8 a.m. to noon. Many families arrive between 8 and 9 a.m., so arriving between 9 a.m. and noon means less traffic.
- Check-in location
- Drive to the orientation tent in the Guadalupe Hall parking lot, where staff direct you to a nearby spot close to your room. Upperclassman volunteers help carry items to rooms.
- Parking
- After unloading, move your vehicle to the HAC / PE Center parking lot so other arriving students can use the spaces near the hall.
- What you'll receive
- An orientation schedule, an orientation and housing packet, and parking and move-in instructions when you arrive. Orientation runs August 23-25.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
