Sign in and get your keys at "the Wall" outside Porter and Blaisdell Halls (Maurer Link if raining), or at the Residence Life Office in Porter Hall, and Security in Pearsons Hall helps after hours. Campus storage in Whitney Hall is only for international students, students studying abroad for a semester, and students who live more than 1,000 miles away, first come, first served. New Student Days, August 20-23, marks the official start of your Beloit journey, followed by Convocation.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- New-student move-in is Friday, August 21. Plan to arrive during working hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Central. Families are welcome to help you get settled.
- Check-in location
- Sign in and pick up your keys at the Wall outside Porter and Blaisdell Halls (Maurer Link if it's raining), or at the Residence Life Office in Porter Hall. After hours, go to Security in Pearsons Hall.
- What you'll receive
- Your room key or a key card tied to your student ID, depending on your hall.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
