Fall 2026 Move-In Details

Students must have a valid A-State ID, either physically or on their phone, to properly check in and receive room keys. Order a parking permit online before arriving if bringing a vehicle - GOJO, Jonesboro's public transit service, offers free rides to all A-State students with a valid ID if you'd rather not.

Move-in day logistics

Arrival window
Move-In Day is Aug. 15, with students arriving during their designated timeframe as confirmed by A-State email or the check-in schedule.
Check-in location
Most residence halls handle key pickup in their own lobby; some may instead use a check-in tent set up nearby. Early move-in arrivals should follow their email instructions for the exact spot.
Parking
Only vehicles with an A-State parking permit may park in residential lots. A second vehicle can use one of the designated guest lots, with a free trolley running between residence halls and guest parking.

Your room key, picked up with a valid A-State ID (physical or mobile).
Vehicle restrictions
Each resident is allowed up to two passenger vehicles on Move-In Day. No U-Hauls, trailers, or moving trucks/vans are permitted.

Move-in day tips

  • Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
  • Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
  • Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
  • Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
